Ria Arndt was my pet sitter for over ten years. During that time she took care of my horses, peacocks, chickens and dogs. I moved from Dodgeville to Vermont three years ago and miss her genuine caring and dedication. Ria could always be counted on to care for my pets better than I did, which is saying a lot since I thought no one could do that. My family and I took many trips and I could relax and not worry knowing Ria was in charge. Often I traveled alone and had family members care for my animals. They never did as good a job as Ria and I told them so. Ria cheerfully read long, detailed instructions and followed them to the letter. Our very old dog, Pepper, required spoon feeding of canned dog food during her later years, and Ria did that. At times our 0.7 mile long lane became drifted in with snow drifts and Ria would park on the paved road and hike in, twice a day to make sure everyone was fed and watered. At the end of a trip Ria would always call just to make sure we made it home and ask if the animals were ok. She has always gone above and beyond the call of duty and I would wholeheartedly recommend her services to anyone.

Ria with Great RexPectations has been our country pet-sitter through many years of furry loved ones. She was our in-home caregiver for Attila the terror cat and Hildegard the spaniel years ago. Now it’s cats Neapolitan and Cloud, and horses Stormy and Daisy and somewhere over twelve years of our relationship.
Ria is superbly reliable. She has a calm and competent character. She completes everything we ask and does it neatly and carefully. She is flexible with special and health needs like fussy diets and medications and supplements. She makes sure the home is secure and kept tidy. When we return the animals are perfectly at ease. We can be confident our friends will be well cared for in our absence and that allows us to have carefree adventures knowing that our home and pets have the best caregiver we can provide.
We feel very fortunate we have had her in our lives for so long and are so happy that she is willing and able to care for large animals too – that is a rare find in a pet-sitter!
